The customer's problem
One of our existing customers contacted Can Do Plumbing after noticing water dripping from their Worcester Bosch boiler. An unexplained leak inside a boiler should be investigated promptly, even if the appliance is otherwise operating.
Finding the cause
On attendance, our investigation identified leakage around the boiler's cold-water flow turbine and flow sensor assembly. Both faulty components required replacement.
The repair
We sourced and fitted genuine Worcester Bosch components to replace the defective flow turbine and flow sensor. The original manufacturer packaging is shown in the photographs, together with the affected area inside the appliance.
Checks after replacement
Following the component replacements, we completed operational checks of the boiler. We aim to verify repairs carefully rather than simply fitting parts and leaving the property.
Our advice
A small drip can be an early sign of a problem that may cause further damage if ignored. If water is escaping from a boiler, arrange an inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer who is competent to work on that appliance. Customers should not remove the boiler casing or attempt internal repairs themselves.
The outcome
The leaking flow turbine and flow sensor were replaced with genuine components, followed by boiler operation checks. Photographs show the fault area, the genuine replacement-part packaging and the assembly after the work.
